Beginning Hoopdance Class

In the beginning level classes you will learn the fundamental moves of hoopdance that will allow you to build a solid foundation for the dance form. You’ll learn beautiful moves, build your skills, and start learning how to actually dance with the hoop! All the while, you’ll be toning your abs, back, arms, hips, buns and legs, strengthening and opening your upper back and chest, increasing balance and getting a cardio workout!

Intermediate Prerequisites:

Intermediate students must have taken 10 beginning classes and/or be proficient in basic hooping skills such as: waist and hip hooping in both currents, lifting and lowering the hoop with either hand, forward and backward weaves, halo, passing, chest and shoulder hooping, walking/dancing with the hoop.

Intermediate Hoopdance Class

In this class we will take hooping to the next level.  We will explore leg hooping, sustained spinning, spirals, vortexes, tosses, rolls, angles (shoulders and hips),  and transitions between all hooping tricks/moves.  We will also incorporate dance-theory elements to expand our hooping repertoire to its fullest.  Utilizing out knowledge to date, we will work “in flow” to create our own individual style and a fluidity of movement.


Intermediate Choreography Class

This class will concentrate on combining hoop tricks/moves with dance steps and technique, integrating the two aspects seamlessly so that we have a finished dance piece.  We will work on doing steps and moves as a group, as well as individually, keeping in time with the music and synchronizing with one another.  Sure to be a fun class for team-building, and the joy of hoopdancing with friends.

Latin hOOp Rhythm

Fusing Latin Dance and the Hula Hoop – what could be more fun? This will be a wildly energetic class full of delicious moves and music. A great fit for the Beginner to Advanced Hooper as well as all levels of dancers. One third of the class will be learning to hoop on and off body, the second third will be learning Latin Dance Rhythms and Footwork to a sizzling playlist. The last third of class will be fusing the two together culminating in a richly rhythmic experience for the entire body causing a healthy glow of perspiration and some heavy breathing. A seriously fun class and a great workout is promised!

Latin Soul Play

A Latin dance class that will get your body moving to magical rhythms and will set your soul afire. In this class, we will journey through all the Latin dance rhythms and dance forms, learning footwork and body mechanics that, in themselves, are a great workout for the body, mind and soul. Get ready for an hour filled with impassioned movement, that will leave you feeling as though you have been transported to a land far away where you can let go and let your soul play. Please wear comfortable clothes and no shoes.


Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a dynamic workout system. The routines feature interval training sessions in which fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt our body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix, and you have Zumba! Fitness can be fun!
